Ashtanga Yoga
For those who want a serious workout, Ashtanga may be the
perfect yoga. Developed by K. Pattabhi Jois, Ashtanga is physically
and mentally demanding. Participants move through a series
of flows by literally jumping from one posture to another to build strength,
flexibility, balance and stamina. When possible Ashtanga is practiced in a warm (not hot) room which allows for deeper stretches of more supple muscles without risk of injury.
Weight/Cardio Training
Using weights, balance balls, and interval training, we can design a specialized routine to achieve your goals. Lose weight and tone up while focusing on your specific areas of interest.
Pilates Mat
The Pilates Method is designed to lengthen and strengthen muscles while building a uniformly developed body. Pilates focuses on core strength—abdominals, gluteals, inner thighs—and practices moving from the “inside out.” Pilates builds and improves posture, body alignment, breathing, control, balance, flow and strength for a stronger body and improved health. This mind body practice realigns movement patterns, and works muscles properly and efficiently. Students will gain a kinesthetic awareness of their own bodies that can be integrated into daily life.
